Who knows exactly who’s hiding behind this masked face. Even though we don’t really know much about him, his manners leave no doubt: he will leave no room for improvisation.
Tomorrow Corporation is pleased to announce the existence of Tomorrow Corporation, a massive new “indie game” studio.
“We’re literally bursting with cash,” said a Tomorrow Corporation PR spokeswoman, “because if there’s one thing that makes money these days, it’s indie games.”
“For years, giant corporations have been hurt by scrappy indie studios hogging the limelight with titles like Crayon Physics Deluxe, Braid, World of Goo, and Super Meat Boy. To those tiny, un-American, indie developers, Tomorrow Corporation would like to deliver a message: Your reign of terror ends… Tomorrow! ”

Well, I’m sorta a nerd… I knew about 8 of these, still think they’re great though:
1. The graphics for the bushes and clouds are the same, with different colors
?
2. The Minus World
The Minus World is a glitch in Super Mario Bros. By passing a solid wall at the end of world 1-2, it is possible to travel to “World -1,” also known as “Minus World” or “World Negative One.” The Minus World is a glitched version of World 1-3 that is underwater, contains Bowser, Hammer Bros and multiple Princess Toadstools. Creepy!
3. Mario was named after the landlord of Nintendo of ..read the full article

I stumbled upon an iPhone/iPod Touch app called, Gamebox. It’s one app that has 20+ mini games all in one download, hmmm mini games… that should have been my first clue. Anyway, this app is trying its run at a Wii like interface to quick mini games. Many of these games are really good, others are flash type clones. All and all it’s a really great app.

Great little column I read today:
Why I Love and Hate Nintendo – by Steve Bogda
For most of my childhood, video games did not appeal to me. I had the perspective of a typical kid who stayed outdoors as much as he possibly could. Why play Tony Hawk when I can go outside and actually ride a skateboard? To my young self, video games were not what life is about; they were just simulations of it.
Then I played Ocarina of Time. After that, Super Mario 64 quickly followed by Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, and Kirby. Then a friend gave me ..read the full article
Nintendo of America’s Cammie Dunaway made it pretty clear that we’ll be seeing the New Zelda Wii game by the end of this year.
We all benefit if we can keep a pretty steady pace, so the development teams have worked hard to make sure that we’ve got a full lineup this year. If you compare the first half of 2010 with the first half of 2009, it’s night and day.
From some of the things that Mr. Iwata has talked about, and that we will talk about at E3, like Zelda, you know that we’re going to have a good back ..read the full article

NintendoLife - With a range of levels available we were able to try out almost all of the new additions, the most prominent being the inclusion of Yoshi. The little green dinosaur can chew on blueberries and red peppers laid around the courses, which both grant him special powers: eating a blueberry fills him with air sending him floating upwards, whereas the spicy pepper sets him racing ahead at breakneck speed. One stage challenges you to sprint up vertical slopes and avoid the perils of a dangerous course, with one hit sending Yoshi plummeting to ..read the full article
