A bunch of news coming from the Nintendo investor briefing! Here’s a summary:

New 2D side-scrolling Super Mario game coming for 3DS in the next fiscal year (which means from April 2012 through March 2013). Final version of Wii U revealed at E3. Wii U will release in Japan, US, Europe, and Australia sometime between E3 and the end of the year… but in time for the year-end sales season. Wii U controller will have Near Field Communication (NFC) support, which will allow for the creation of cards and figurines that can read and write data when they are put near the controller. In another week where it seems Nintendo has given up on the Wii Virtual Console, we get four games for WiiWare, DSiWare, and 3DS eShop. On top of that, Nintendo has made another 3DS demo available on the eShop.

As for the 3DS eShop, the big news includes Mutant Mudds and the demo of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. You can also download Lola’s Alphabet Train and Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish for DSiWare. If you are looking for something on your home console, Newton vs. The Horde is available for WiiWare.

The day many have been waiting for will be here tomorrow. The Nintendo 3DS eShop will finally offer the free demos they have been hinting for some time. The first will be Resident Evil: Revelations. We can only hope they will keep them coming mote often than the WiiWare demos, and hopefully they will not cut down on weekly releases because of these.
